Kobako Oni and Shoki

Kidney-shaped kobako in fundame lacquer with a hira maki-e lacquer gold decor, brown and red depicting an Oni on a tree, caught-out by his own reflection in the river that Shoki can see.
The interior is in nashi-ji lacquer.
