LANDSCAPE KOBAKO – EDO

Reference: 2024-1327

Multi-lobed pentagonal kobako with its gold hiraand taka maki-elacquer and kirigane and heidatsu technique representing a lacustrine décor. In the background mountains with their rocky and snowy texture. A lake figured by waves patterns of golden lacquer on a nashiji background separates the mountains from a small hamlet in the foreground. The roofings of fishermen houses are treated with great realism under the silver and gold flowers of two fruit trees, we can even guess the silhouette of pine trees in the distance across the lake. The inside and bottom are realized in nashiji.
