Four compartment inrô decorated with a lake landscape in golden taka maki-e, hirameiji lacquer and kirigane. The waves are made of delicate flakes of blue mother-of-pearl.
The inside is in nashi-ji lacquer.
The ivory netsuke depicts a lying buffalo. A label of the J.Prieur collection bearing the number 142B is stuck underneath.
